The Guilds are self-sustaining networks of professionals who seek to advance the thinking and practice of their respective fields.

The Media Guild reflects on the delicate balance between the search for truth, the need for privacy, the wish for objective reporting, and the unmistakable bias present in all who engage in reporting. In a world where the ‘mainstream media’ is smeared frequently, the Guild tries to further and support those aiming for fair reporting, always searching for the flourishing of the society and the people the media serves.

Some of the questions the Guild asks are:

  • How can world-view and bias coexist in those searching to report objectively?
  • How can the media maintain their important position in society, upholding the balance of power and enable the growth and flourishing of all involved?
  • What are the catalysts that might stimulate a renewed trust in the journalist’s profession?
