The Guilds are self-sustaining networks of professionals who seek to advance the thinking and practice of their respective fields.

The Technology Guild currently primarily focuses on the question associated with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This emergent technology is widely thought to change many aspects of society and life as we know it today. Its capacity to imitate and replicate human processes, will most probably require a thorough rethinking of the work-force, the need for verification of online material (cf. deepfakes), and will catalyse deeper reflection on what sets genuine human processes apart from those of AI.

Some of the questions the Guild asks are:

  • Is being human a humanly replicable attribute?
  • How could one respond to technological advancements?
  • What advantages and disadvantages lie in the huge field of digitalisation?
  • What does it mean to be human or have free will in light of robotics and an algorithm-led society?
